It’s a well known fact that Polish builders are pretty good with what they do. I think you must have heard about them already and that’s why you clicked on our site. But it’s always good to make sure that the builder you’ve chosen meets your criteria. So have a look at this quick checklist and find out what you can do to make sure your choice is safe and the project will be a success.

If the builder has been recommended by a friend, you probably know already what to expect and how he works,

It is good to get locally base person – it could be someone known by your neighbours , cannot blame traffic for being late – our search is design to get you the closest tradesmen from your address

Ask the builder to bring references from previous clients, so you can be sure that he has done some building jobs before and check work quality,

Ask for public liability insurance, especially if the job involves plumbing, electrics or structural works,

Take your time explaining what would you like to have done and what your work expectations  are,

Ask for written quote with as many details as possible so everything will be agreed before the work starts.

Agree price and payment method (cash, cheque, transfer, how many instalments) before starting the job – find out whether the price incl. tax, VAT and invoice. NEVER PAY IN ADVANCE. If you’re uncertain about first payment to cover cost of materials or other expenses, offer to pay the supplier by credit card.

Ask who supply what materials– most builders have they checked and proved materials and brands

Before the job is signed off, please make sure that you have checked everything and pointed out all possible retouches. Builders do not like coming back on a job if client said that all is done and then change his mind.

Ask about work guarantee, how long it is valid for and what exactly is covered,
